Witchfire was first announced in December 2017 — from the developers who made The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, no less — and it's taken almost five whole years for us to get another decent look at it. The first-person shooter returned during Summer Game Fest Live, with a trailer that shows over a minute of gameplay.
...Okay, so that doesn't sound very impressive, but Witchfire does look like good fun in this footage. Its magic-infused combat has real promise.
The game's entering early access exclusively on the Epic Games Store later this year, but the finished product will be coming to consoles later down the line.

@carlos82 Right there with ya! Glad it didn't get scrapped.
I remember seeing the debut for this game years ago and it was just on my mind the other day! Glad to see it staying alive, and I can’t wait to play it - it looks awesome!

Looks good if it ever releases.
Looks a bit medieval Outriders-ish
Game still looks impressive, hoping it actually releases by 2023-2024.
